3 Steps to take advantage of Google’s upcoming changes
It is no longer a good idea to create a separate website just for mobile visitors because regular updates to your main site won’t appear on your mobile site. Marck Design and A2M specializes in custom, responsive websites. Our websites are developed to fit the screen size on all mobile devices, whether it’s phone, tablet or laptop.
Responsive sites, however, are just the beginning. How the content of each page is developed is equally important. Content must be relevant, simplified, streamlined and focused on what the user is searching for to achieve the best page rank.
Mobile phone users are looking for 3 things: 1. Speed, 2. Easy navigation throughout the site, and 3. Speed. Your hosting provider can make a tremendous difference when it comes to site speed and how pages are formatted.
Marck Design & A2M hosts all of our sites with a world class dedicated server to provide the fastest download speed. Your site will not be shared (and slowed) with hundreds of other sites such as used by the national do-it-yourself sites.
Your hosting company should have content delivery network enabled and properly developed coding. All sites that we host comply with best industry practices.
The changes in how Google “reads” web pages will not go into effect until April 21st, but the time to make these website adjustments should be made as quickly as possible. Like now.
Why? Google has to literally “crawl” through your website to index your changes, and this takes time – could be a month or longer. In order to avoid being penalized on search rank, the sooner these updates can be implemented the better. Most importantly, your search rank should be improved as a result.
We will provide a free site analysis to anyone who wants to know if their website is mobile-friendly, has been optimized for search-engine recognition, has sufficient download speed, and check the site for any issues. Fill out the form below to get your free site analysis started!

Nothing catches the attention of website developers like the recent announcement from Google:
“Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results.” Source: Google
It’s no secret that the use of mobile devices has grown exponentially over the past three years. Mobile device users (smartphones, tablets, laptops and wearables) now exceed fixed internet (PC) users worldwide.
This phenomenon has caused Google to begin using mobile phone searches as part of the algorithms used in how they rank all websites. Here is what Google says:
“For a typical query, there are thousands, if not millions, of webpages with helpful information. Algorithms are the computer processes and formulas that take your questions and turn them into answers. Today Google’s algorithms rely on more than 200 unique signals or “clues” that make it possible to guess what you might really be looking for. These signals include things like the terms (keywords) on websites, the freshness of content, your region and PageRank.”
